User Groups is now available in Beta

We’re excited about this one! Today we’re releasing User Groups in open Beta, giving your customers the ability to create and manage user groups, including being able to assign roles to those groups, directly from the Admin Portal.

Image #2

This is especially useful for admins of larger accounts with hundreds or thousands of users who need to assign and update roles on a regular basis. Instead of doing it manually per user, they can now assign roles on the group level, saving time and avoiding issues in the process.

Group objects also hold a set of metadata that can be used to store data about the group, making it easy to integrate groups into your application logic.

Make sure you have the latest version of our client-side SDKs updated in order to access this feature and visit our documentation section to learn more about User Groups.

Announcing a major update to our Roles and Permissions dashboards

We've listened to your feedback and have made significant improvements to the process of creating and managing roles and assigning relevant permissions using role-based access control (RBAC).

With this update, you'll be able to create custom roles tailored to your organization's specific needs and assign permissions more efficiently, helping to save time and increase productivity.

The new dashboards are designed to provide a seamless and streamlined experience for managing access control. Simply create the role you want and assign the relevant permissions, or vice versa, to complete the process.

In addition to the improved process for creating new roles and assigning permissions, we're now also offering the ability to create and manage roles per Account, directly from the UI.

Frontegg Logs is now officially out of Beta

We’re excited to officially introduce Logs! Logs give you the ability to see what’s going on “behind the scenes” by monitoring and tracking a variety of events, including user authentications, actions performed by tenant administrators, failed login attempts, and more.

Image #4

Logs are especially useful for developers and customer support teams trying to debug things that don't work as expected or providing support for customers. You can also use Logs to retain and analyze event logs for various business needs, to identify areas for improvement, and to gain valuable insights into user behavior.

What’s new in this release -

  1. We added more events to cover a wider range of user actions giving you full visibility into the authentication flows and various issues that users encounter.
  2. You can now filter events by User Agent, IP, and Trace ID.
  3. Quick filters are now available for easier navigation when viewing events.

Keep users informed about MFA changes

Image #5

We added five new email templates for user actions related to MFA - MFA enroll, unenroll, recovery codes used, new MFA device added, and MFA device removed.

You can use these to keep your end-users in the know about the security of their account and verify that these actions were performed by the end user and not someone else.
